1. Why should I use/not use phone cards?
Pros and cons.
There are several major advantages using a prepaid calling card.
Savings
Prepaid calling cards often
offer much lower domestic and international long distance rates
than the residential service from major phone companies. In addition,
there are no monthly fee, and no federal , state and/or local
taxes. If you look carefully, you'll notice that the monthly fee,
taxes and other fees may account for about 10% of your total long
distance bill.
Using prepaid calling cards could save up to
70% of your long distance phone bill.
Convenience
Prepaid calling cards enable you to enjoy low
long distance rates no matter where you are. You can call from
home, office, pay phone, cell phone and hotel with a peace of
mind.
Versatility
Prepaid calling cards provide solutions to many situations.

A prepaid calling card is an
ideal travel companion. You can use it with any phone, even
in hotels and airports. It helps you to avoid outrageous hotel
surcharges and hidden fees, so you always know exactly what
you're spending.
Some phone cards even allow you call US
from certain foreign countries. This is great, because
making international long distance in a foreign hotel can
be a major hassle and the rates are usually outlandishly high.
With a prepaid calling card, you can avoid all these overseas
calling problems. |
|
If you cannot live without a
cell phone, prepaid calling cards may provide low long distance
rates and help you avoid expensive roaming charges. |
 |
If you share a phone with your
roommates, prepaid calling cards can eliminate the hassle
of figuring out who-called-what-number each month. |
 |
If your phone bill is out of
control, prepaid calling cards can help you bring your phone
expense within budget. Say your budget is $40 per month, just
buy two phone cards. A voice will remind you how much you
have left each time you make a call. There is no better way
to budget your long distance. |
 |
Prepaid phone cards make great
gifts for friends and family. It's something anyone can use.
Prepaid phone cards are available in $10, $20, $50, and $100
denominations, so just pick the one that fits your budget.

Prepaid phone cards are ideal
substitute for collect calls from your kids. Collect calls
are expensive. On top of that, your kids cannot leave message
on your answering machine. Send your kids some phone cards
so they can call you whenever they want and save your money.

The major cons on using phone cards relate to their quality.
If you use AT&T, at a much higher rate, you can usually get
the phone call connected anytime with good voice quality. For
some phone cards, it may take multiple tries to get a good connection.
This appears to be a drawback for using phone cards. However,
as technology advances and bandwidth increases, you can find more
and more phone cards that offer pretty good voice quality and
pretty easy connection.

2. Why should I order from Just Phone
Cards?
Phone cards are usually distributed through very fragmented channels.
You can find hundreds or thousands of them from local store as
well as hundreds of websites. Just Phone Cards has been trying
to distinguish ourselves from other stores by offering the best
selection of phone cards and the best customer service.
If your phone card stop working, has rate updates, short of minutes,
has bad voice quality, you usually can't do much if you order
from most of the local or online stores. However, if you order
phone cards from us, your order will be garanteed, and we will
take care of such problems. Please check out our customer
service policy.
3. How can I find the right card?
Read the review is very helpful.
Finding the right phone card is not that straightforward sometimes.
You need to consider your calling pattern, your priority, other
than the rates. Our mission is to provide the most complete information
about each phone card for you, however, due to space limitation,
we can't put all the information we know about each phone card
to the place that's easily accessible for you. Please read the
review for each phone card, and we put all the information there.
It usually give you a much better idea on the strength or problem
of each phone card.
If you make mostly short phone calls, get a card with 1 or 2
minute rounding.
If you don't call that much, get a card with low maintenance
fee.
If you want calls to be connected right away anytime, sometimes
you may want to choose a card with a little higher rate but better
connection.
If you use payphone, get a card with low payphone surcharge.
Please refer to our article on Hidden
charges in prepaid phone cards.
4. How about cell phone rates?
Most phone cards have much higher rate for cell phones. Most
phone card issuing companies don't release their cell phone rates
probably because they update them more often. That's why you can't
find cell phone rate information for most of the phone cards on
our website simply because we don't know the rates at all. This
also applies to any other phone card websites.
Please be aware that if it's not listed on our website, cell
phone rates could be significantly higher! You can try to
call a cell phone but please pay attention to the minutes you
will receive announced by the system. If the rate is too high,
please hang up and don't continue with the phone call.
5. Get familiar with our order
process.
Please check out this page for order
process. It's a must read if you are a new customer!
6. How to find the right card and
whether the rate has been updated (for existing customers)?
Please refer to this answer. For
existing customers, although you have ordered phone cards from
us before, the rate may have been updated when you want to place
another order. Please check the rate information everytime you
place a new order. If you find the rate substantially different
than your last phone card, please double check whether you ordered
a wrong phone card, if not, please don't use the phone card and
contact us.
7. I forgot my password and can't login.
What can I do?
You can contact us by sending us an email,
we will send your password to you within a day, usually much sooner.
If you need to place an order, you can still do so without filling
in the password. Registration is not required to place an order.
You may not registered with us, and there is no password for
you in such cases.
8. "Rate subject to change without
notice", how can I trust the rate?
Due to the special distribution channel of prepaid phone cards,
the phone card issuing companies don't know who use their phone
cards. This is different from regular phone service companies
such as AT&T, who knows their customers and how to contact
them. To minimize legal liabilities, all phone card issuing companies
claim that "the rates will subject to change without notice"
literally because it will be very hard for them to notify end
users.
As a result of this, you will find this notice on our website
as well as other online phone card stores. However, Just Phone
Cards always tries our best to provide a trustable service for
you. We stand by what we claim on the website when you placed
the order. For example, if you ordered a $10 phone card that
supposed to offer 200 mins for China according to our website,
and the phone card issuing company updated the rate and you only
have 180 mins. We will try to get the 20 mins back for you. Otherwise,
you can either return the card to us if its unused, or we will
cover your loss in dollar value ($1) at our own expense as store
credit.
9. Shall I register or not?
Registration at Just Phone Cards dot com has two major benefits:
a. You can join our coupon program and earn referral bonus. Referral
bonus can be used to redeem free phone cards.
b. The system will remember your address and phone number information,
so you don't need to enter it every time you place the order.
If you order frequently with us, this will make the order process
very fast. However, we don't save the credit number information,
mainly due to security concerns. So you do need to enter the credit
card number every time, and you can easily use a different credit
card.
10. Be careful about email typo.
Please make sure you don't make any typo in your email address.
If you are a new customer and don't receive any email from us,
please contact us to see whether that's
the case. If you are an existing customer and the system prompted
you to enter phone numbers for order confirmation, it's 100% sure
that you used a new email address this time or made a typo in
your email address. Please double check the email before you continue,
because we DO NEED to call you to confirm the order if
that's the case, and this may delay the PIN delivery for your
order.
11. I want to use a new email, what
shall I do (for existing customers)?
If you would like to use a new email address and don't want to
wait for the phone call confirmation, please update your email
address before you place the order. You can do so by sending us
an email FROM your current email address with us and inform
us the new email address you want to use, please double check
the email to make sure that there is no typo. We will update your
email address to the new one within a day, usually much sooner.
12. This phone card used to work
great for me. Why its quality is not as good as before?
This is a common issue with prepaid phone cards: quality is usually
good at the beginning when there isn't that many people using
the phone card. Then the quality drops when the customer base
grows bigger and bigger. We don't think this is good business
practice, but as a retailer, we don't have any control over such
issues. What we can do is constantly searching for better phone
cards for our customers, and monitoring the quality closely so
that we can remove a card quickly if the quality is not good anymore.
